Included will be the Lake Superior & Mississippi’s formative years and the work of the Lake Superior Transportation Club\, which pre-dates the museum. Photos of volunteers and staff who helped make the museum what it is today will also be featured. \nWithout the work of these early museum pioneers\, the Lake Superior Railroad Museum would never be what USA Today voted the “BEST Transportation Museum in America.” Nor would today’s North Shore Scenic Railroad be the destination attraction it has become. \nTuesday\, April 11th in the Lake Superior Railroad Museum at 6:30pm. All tickets include a 5 course meal\, prepared by MidCoast Catering of Duluth\, along with 5 wine samplings. A cash bar is available too. Live music will keep the atmosphere lively\, along with Emcee Ken Buehler and an expert sommelier. \nTentative wine pairings: Chemistry Wine\, Chehalem Wines\, Stroller Family Wine \n \nDinner Menu:\nButter Board\nBeet Salad\nKofta w. coconut rice\nShort Rib w. chive & cream cheese smashed baby reds & roasted vegetables\nGrand Marnier Bundt Cake \n(Note\, if vegetarian/vegan\, a portobello steak for will substitute the short Rib.) \nReservations/tickets are required in advance\, and the whole evening is limited to 50 guests.
