The Minnetonka arrived in Duluth by boat on July 28, 1870 to begin its task of hauling railroad construction materials as the track was being built to the west. This engine was also used in Washington state to build railroads before returning to the Midwest as an exhibit at the Chicago World’s Fair in 1948-49.
