While originally built to seat 79 passengers in 1912, the W-24 has also been a partial baggage car with 45 seats and in 1938 was converted to accompany the Car Northland as a passenger and sleeper car. It can be seen operating on the North Shore Scenic Railroad to Two Harbors.
