Built circa 1890, the No. 19 was converted in 1926 to self-propelled gas motor car used to carry passengers across the Iron Range. However, it proved so unreliable that it was converted back into a coach and later a sleeper car for Duluth, Missabe, and Iron Range maintenance crews. Today, it holds an exhibit dedicated to the DM&IR.
