Northern Pacific No 3617 Train

The No. 3617 was one of the largest diesels to ever operate on the Northern Pacific Railway. This engine, built in 1967, is 65 feet long and weighs approximately 391,000 pounds. As a second-generation diesel locomotive, it was designed to be faster and more powerful than the original diesel locomotives built in the 1950s.
