Milwaukee Road No. 10200

Between 1915 & 1920, the Milwaukee Road electrified 660 miles of track across five mountain ranges traveling west. Electrification was very expensive but the electric locomotives like the Milwaukee Road No. 10200 could pull longer and heavier trains than the steam engines at the time. When it was constructed the No. 10200 was the most powerful electric locomotive in the world.
